A Hong Kong lawyer was remanded in custody on Friday over allegations he had sex with a 12-year-old girl in his home and also filmed the illegal act.

Luk Kin-ting, 39, was escorted to West Kowloon Court to face two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13 and one of making child pornography.

The indictment alleges that Luk had sex twice with the girl inside his flat at the Park Island high-rise residential complex in Ma Wan on March 4 and 28 of this year.

The lawyer was also suspected of recording an illicit video of the victim during the second alleged incident.

Principal Magistrate Don So Man-lung granted an eight-week adjournment for police to conduct further inquiries before dismissing Luk’s bail application.

The lawyer is expected to appear in court again in early July.
