Recap by phillip woo

After leading from gate four and turning the final bend two lengths on top, Hero Star kept up a strong gallop for a fifth career win over the Valley 1,200m. He was well rated having his second straight run in Class Five. My Intelligent stayed on well for second after chasing the speed three wide without cover the entire trip from gate 10. He will be saluting shortly if he remains in the grade. Same To You came from last and widest out to snatch third. It was an improved effort with a step up to 1,200m at his second start in Class Five. Firming favourite Double Show lost third late after a prominent run on the fence. It was another honest performance. General Ace finished nicely for fifth with two wider out after biding his time four from the rear. It was a better effort with a return to the course and distance of a win in February. Alloy King whacked on one paced after a pace-stalking run from gate nine. Vamos made some ground late without threatening near the inside after biding his time one from the rear from an outside draw.
